Robin Architecture

In robin culture it is the female robin who builds the nest to keep her young warm and safe. She uses twigs, grasses, and mud to build this structure. She may use other found objects such as yarn, hair, and feathers. The process is built from the inside out and takes about two rises of the sun. It is common for robins to reuse nests or materials from previous nests. Doves have also been known to move into robin nests. These nests have achieved LEED platinum certification.
